Cheza is the labour of love of three founders:

Dina Mehta a textile Designer, specialised in textile development and sustainability with over 20 years experience in the apparel industry. Her dream was to create a brand where sustainability was a prerogative and she could create beautiful fabrics for beautiful product. She has been dancing Salsa socially for many years together with her husband and recognised a need for suitable clothing whilst dancing.

Whilst working at Puma in 2003, she met, worked with and befriended Julia Van Almsick a garment technologist. Julia is a absolute superstar amongst garment technologists, having first completed a three year apprenticeship as a seamstress, then a 3 year degree as a garment technologist with 10 Years experience working for brands on building garments and then another 3 years experience in apparel Merchandising. In addition to this invaluable technical know-how, She has an incredible eye for style and fit and is the fashion compass for the brand.

Franck Arnaud Lusbec is a professional Dancer who studied Dance in Paris and New York. Dina shared her idea with Franck to build products for Dancers, and together with him workshopped the framework of the first collection which was then built and perfected together with Julia. Franck manages the entire visual aspect of the brand -photoshoots, social media etc, whilst still working as a fulltime dancer. He keeps the Brand honest in regards to the needs and wants of dancers.
